Journal for iPhone and iPad
Corlys
A journal where you speak or type an entry in seconds. What you capture stays private. If you want, it arrives in your own systems without any copying.
Flows into your second brain
Entries go to webhooks you set up yourself, as text in Markdown or as an audio file, automatically or with a tap.
That way they land in an Obsidian daily note, an n8n workflow or any other system that accepts webhooks. As many endpoints as you need.
Private, through Apple
Speech is turned into text on your device by Apple’s speech recognition. Entries sync only through your private iCloud.
No account, no analytics, no ads. Titles and the coach use Apple Intelligence, on the device or through Apple’s Private Cloud Compute: text only, never audio. A webhook receives only what you set up.
Fast capture
The Home Screen widget opens the editor and starts dictation right away. Tap plus to write instead.
Writing and dictating share one editor. Spoken text appears live at the end of the entry.
Your own words
The transcript stays word for word what you said. Corlys does not summarise or rewrite.
Timeline, calendar, map
Entries are grouped by day, newest first. A calendar and a map show the same journal by date and by place.
Date, photos, place
Every entry has a date and time you can change later. Add photos and, if you want, the current location.
Recordings stay
Each dictation is kept with its entry and can be played back. One dictation lasts up to ten minutes.
Formatting
Headings, bold, italic, underline and lists. Entries are stored and sent as Markdown.
Short titles
Apple Intelligence gives each entry a short title: on the device, or through Apple’s Private Cloud Compute when available.
Lock
Face ID can lock the journal at launch and whenever you come back to the app.
Siri and Shortcuts
“Dictate entry” and “New entry” are available to Siri, Shortcuts, Spotlight and the Action button.
Import from Day One
A JSON export brings over text, dates, places, photos and audio. What moves over
The coach
If you like, a coach works with an entry without changing it. After a new entry it asks a follow-up question and suggests small steps. In the entry you can ask what it thinks, what stands out, which tasks it hears and how it would approach things, plus up to three questions of your own.
Tasks it hears can be taken on as intentions and ticked off. The coach checks in later on how it went.
The coach uses Apple Intelligence: on the device, or through Apple’s Private Cloud Compute when available. It does not write texts for publishing and is not a therapist. You can switch it off in the settings.
